This weekend it hit 102 degrees in OC.
And listen. I love the sunshine. My issue with this is that its fall. Fall is the time of year that we should be cozy and drinking pumpkin flavored things and wearing knitted sweaters and scarves. Not sitting in the sun melting because it is ONE HUNDRED AND TWO DEGREES. But. This just means it’s time to get creative. Its fall and I want to wear something knit and I won’t let a little thing like global warming get me down so with the help of my friends over at Killer Queen Knits we improvise to bring you today’s ootd lite: knits out.
One way to still wear your fave knitted pieces no matter the weather? A custom-made knit bralette, of course! This beautiful piece was handmade by my friend Tara and I absolutely love everything about it from the pink flower to the corset style lace up back.
I paired this sweet little top with some jelly hot pink Jeffrey Campbell mules and these amazing suspender polka dot wide leg trousers by Free People to bring a bit of fall back into the look.
It feels like things may be cooling down a bit (see: 82 degrees instead of 102) so maybe soon I’ll be able to break out the sweaters. In the meantime, I’m happy I have a way to wear my knits out anyway. 😉
